Functional Art
I created these Lazy Susans before I created my art pieces. The process is the same: start with a piece of sheet steel ... 3/16" thick (7 gauge) ... and apply solutions to create unique patterns. No two pieces are exactly alike.

Discover the artistry behind my unique pieces, crafted through the intricate process of chemical etching. With copper sulfate as the primary agent, I provoke reactions with the base steel, resulting in stunning patterns that are truly one-of-a-kind. By experimenting with various chemicals, application techniques, and environmental factors, I can create a diverse array of designs. While some can be reminiscent of one another, each piece stands as a distinct artistic statement.

Most of my lazy susans are patinated steel, but a few (denoted with "E") are mixed media: the underlying copper-toned surface has been overlaid with colored epoxies to add more depth and visual interest. The surface of these lazy susans is glossier than that of the pure patinated steel ones.

Lazy Susans come in two sizes: 12" and 15". Sizes are noted in the product descriptions.

Interior designers say that they add "texture and dimension" to kitchen islands and dining tables. The smaller size is a perfect countertop companion alongside your stove to keep cooking essentials handy.
Care instructions: Avoid prolonged exposure to acetic agents like vinegar, red wine and salt. Clean by wiping with a damp cloth.
